Sen. Fred Thompson was in New Hampshire this weekend for his first trip to the Granite State as an official candidate to be the next president of the United States. On Saturday he hit the Seacoast Republican Women’s Chili Fest at Scamman Farm and ran into the ONE Campaign.
Before Sen. Thompson arrived, ONE members worked the crowd talking to voters about ONE while tasting the varieties of chili. Many voters recognized ONE’s Marine Michael and asked him for ONE bands and more ONE literature.
While wearing a ONE band on his wrist, former Congressman Jeb Bradley introduced Sen. Thompson. He gave a short stump speech and after he made his way through the crowd. Even though there was a large crowd, ONE members Andrea and Michael were able to slip Sen. Thompson a ONE band and speak with him briefly about fighting AIDS and poverty in Africa.
We are sure that Sen. Thompson will be back in the Granite State, and will run into more people that are joining the grassroots movement of Americans that want our country to do all we can do to fight global disease and extreme poverty around the world.
