Some of our politicians turn a deaf ear when they suspect that we are advocating for issues outside of the U.S. And as we all saw with the SCHIP issue back in August, its not easy to get federal money for things like health insurance or low cost medical care. We need to devise a campaign, some kind of joint venture, that brings awareness to all of the issues regarding kids and healthcare and present it in a way that shows why it is to our benefit (USA) to support these global causes. Brainstorming should be easy is if we all use our blogs as a place to generate ideas for talking to our candidates.
