We attended the Clark County Democratic Central Committee meeting this past weekend as 300 people came out to vote in the county chair election. We signed up over 50 new members and talked with the many already-ONE-members who are by now used to seeing us around. The Edwards campaign made it a point to come over to our table and tell us how supportive their man was on our issues and talked about his recent poverty tour. Several of the Edwards staff came to the event with their ONE bands on, rolling up their sleeves to show us.

Liz Foley, outgoing chair of Clark County Dems, gave me the opportunity to speak to the crowd to about ONE Vote. Several people came up to Matt and me afterward to “book” us for their club meetings. Jon Hunt, the Vietnam veteran and former candidate for Nevada Attorney General who won the county chair election, is meeting with us next week.
