Farm Bill — The House is debating the rule to consider the Farm Bill now. The Fairness Amendment will be the first amendment considered after the rule is passed.

News on other ONE priorties:

GROWTH Act — Senator Hutchison has agreed to co-sponsor the GROWTH Act bill with Senator Durbin. One of our super volunteers, hand delivered 4,672 letters from ONE members asking Sen. Hutchison to be the lead cosponsor of the bill!

Global Poverty Act – is scheduled for markup on Tuesday, July 31st — We have been working to build committee support for this bill so that it will pass through committee unopposed.

Thanks very much, Erin, for the GOOD NEWS on Sen Hutchison’s co-sponsorship of the GROWTH Act! She is my Senator and I have been making district office visits here in Austin to talk with her staff about our movement to end extreme poverty and funding levels for PEPFAR, the Global Fund and the MCA for FOUR YEARS now!

I’m very pleased to see that some of my efforts over the years were not in vain.

I will thank her staff soon when I schedule a time to meet with them regarding funding levels in the FY 2008 budget due for a vote this Fall.

This news really made my night. Thanks, Erin. ~

Take very good care of each other. Blessings – not just for those who kneel.

ALWAYS FOREVER, ONE – debbie :)

Socialist propaganda: do any of you read history? More US taxes on citizens causes more loss of jobs & wealth here. Just give your own money to charity & leave the government out of it!

It is so sad that you lie about what you are doing and trick people to support you.
This is a political agenda, Obama’s agenda, and many of the people on that NH list want their names there.

Correction: “…many of the people on that NH list DO NOT want their names there!”
