On Wednesday, July 11th at 11:00AM, we’re bringing the fight to end
extreme poverty and global disease to the 2008 presidential campaign by
launching the South Carolina branch of ONE’s largest initiative ever:
ONE Vote ‘08.

Former Governor Jim Hodges and other South Carolina leaders will be on
hand to kick off this historic initiative.

ONE Vote ‘08 will give all of us a chance to impact the ‘08 campaign. It
will also focus the candidates’ attention on the need for strong
American leadership to save lives and secure our future by making
poverty history. And you have the opportunity to be there when it
begins.

Who: Former Governor Jim Hodges, the African Drum Band, and you!
What: The launch of South Carolina ONE Vote ‘08.
Where: The North Steps of the South Carolina State House, Columbia, SC.
When: July 11th, the band starts at 10:30 a.m.
Why: Be there as history is made with the launch of this massive
bi-partisan effort.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, July 11th!

I plan to be there, and I hope to see all my friends there. Looking forward to the lemonade, because it promises to be a scorcher! But hopefully, we will make the issue of poverty a news item even hotter than the weather…
