It Begs the Question

Thursday is the first republican presidential primary debate, and we have a chance to make one of the questions about extreme poverty.  One of the rounds of the debate will feature a popular question from the public, as determined by a vote on The Politico’s website. 

Right now the top question on the in the category of foreign policy other than Iraq is from ONE;

Studies have found strong correlations between mass literacy and the presence of democratic political systems. What role would the expansion of primary education in the poorest parts of the world play in your national security platform?
