If you have been following the ONE Blog, you have read about Agnes Nyamayarwo, the global AIDS Activist and ONE member from Uganda, who spoke at our Denver and Houston member trainings last month. In the 1990’s Agnes lost her husband, and then son, to AIDS. Since then, Agnes has turned her personal tragedy into an international crusade to save millions of lives from AIDS in Africa.
Part of her journey was sharing her story of healing to help others find hope in their own journeys.
Today, Agnes wrote down her story, so that she can share it with the readers of the ONE Blog.
Please take a few minutes to read it, because as ONE members we are all working to make sure that amazing women like Agnes don’t have to lose their families to a treatable, preventable disease any longer.
The ONE Blog is a daily log of the anti-poverty movement. The site is operated by ONE staff, with frequent contributions from volunteers, members and partner organizations.
The ONE Blog updates readers daily with the latest in global development news and analysis and what ONE members and our partners are doing around the world to influence world leaders in the fight against global poverty.
