I had the opportunity to speak to the congregation at St. Luke’s in Schaefferstown, PA, last Sunday to help raise awareness for ONE. I spoke for about ten minutes during the “Temple Talk” portion of the service and spent time highlighting ONE’s initiatives.

The people at St. Luke’s are extremely nice people and really seemed to listen to some of the shocking statistics that plague countries with extreme poverty. After the service I was invited to set up a table at St. Luke’s weekly Sunday reception where I handed out ONE brochures, bracelets,
stickers and information sheets.

Forty six people stopped to sign the ONE Declaration and it felt
great to witness people’s reactions once they became informed of some of the atrocities in third world countries. People wanted to know what our country is doing about these issues and were glad to learn that ONE is really helping.

On a personal note, I enjoyed meeting the people at St. Luke’s and having the opportunity to raise awareness for ONE. Many thanks to Pastor Dan Donmoyer, my wife, Grace, and the congregation at St. Luke’s for making me feel so welcome!
