Straight Talkin’ McCain Has ONE(Band) For The Road

St. Patrick’s Day in New Hampshire is always a fun night out. I was Concord, NH, for a beer tasting with special guest Senator John McCain. This was his first trip to New Hampshire since he announced he is running for president so I wanted to make sure that he heard from the ONE Campaign.

When Senator McCain shook my hand, I told him that I was a member of the ONE and offered him the ONE band. He thanked me and pulled me in for a photo. It was definitely a St. Patrick’s day that I will not forget!

As we left, and Senator McCain got back on the bus, my friend told the senator that we as a nation are doing amazing things to fight AIDS and malaria in the developing world, and asked him if he would continue to do this as president. Senator McCain looked him in the eye and said, “Sure I would.”

Republicans and Democrats alike, when they come to New Hampshire, are going to hear from voters that we can beat global AIDS and end extreme poverty. This is just the start of what America can do when we come together as ONE.
