ONE in the House

There were many stops on the Straight Talk Express with Senator McCain this weekend here in New Hampshire. Some events were public and some were smaller and more intimate like house parties.

I recieved a call on Sunday afternoon from a ONE member that I met at Senator Edwards’ policy speech this past week. His name is Michael Castaldo and you can see him in his homemade ONE shirt from an earlier blog posting. At the event Michael told me how important it is for all of us make sure that both Republicans and Democrats hear about the ONE Campaign when they come to New Hampshrie.

This is why it was no surprise when Michael told me that he had just left a house party in Dover with Senator McCain. And even better, Michael wore his new ONE shirt to make sure the senator saw him.

“Senator McCain saw me in my ONE shirt and knew what I was about, and made sure to take a moment to talk with me and get a picture,” Michael told me.

From town halls, to bus tours, and even house parties, the ONE Campaign is being seen in the Granite State. In the 2008 presidential election, Michael, and all ONE members are going to make sure that whoever is the next president of the United States, he or she will know that fighting global AIDS and extreme poverty is a priority.
