Senator McCain came to Nashua today for the opening of a new veterans home, and as an employee of the City of Nashua, (a “City of ONE”), I attended the dedication ceremony.

While Senator McCain was speaking, I noticed a band on his right hand when he was holding the microphone. As I looked carefully I thought it was the ONE band – the exact same band that I have worn for 8 months straight to show support for the ONE Campaign. I know that some other ONE supporters had met Senator McCain while he was in New Hampshire and had given him the ONE band, but I was not sure if he was wearing it.

At the end of the event, Senator McCain stopped briefly to speak with reporters and voters before getting on the bus. My friend was outside and told me that sure enough, on his wrist was a white band that said ONE! He thanked him for not forgetting the bottom billion people in the world and saluted him as Senator McCain got on the bus.

As a member of the ONE Campaign I am thrilled to see that we are being heard in the Granite State and I know that this is just the start!”
