Fresh off the audio presses: The newest ONE podcast.
http://one.org/podcast In this week’s ONEcast you’ll hear:
*An interview with Joan Faulkner, the Volunteer Coordinator of ONE Orlando
*An update from ONE’s Meigan Stone on trade issues
*How YOU can contribute to the ONEcasts
*And “Pollinating Toes,” a live recording from musician Sean Hayes
Women like Joan Faulkner are the heart and soul of The ONE Campaign. Joan joined the Orlando chapter of ONE in May of 2005. The chapter has held at least one special event or volunteer meet-up every month since. The group now has 300 members and has gathered 4,000 signatures for The ONE Declaration. The ONE Orlando chapter has even created “ONE.org Acoustic Awareness Shows,” at which members talk about ONE activities and poverty issues in between local bands’ sets.
Joan Faulkner: “We better educate ourselves to better educate our community.”Since this interview was recorded, Joan has been hired as a staff field organizer. The ONE Campaign is nothing more or less than the power of its volunteers. Listen to more about Joan’s work on the ONEcast.
Thank you Erin for that warm introduction. I’m honored to join The ONE Campaign and the movement to end poverty. I hope this blog informs and entertains us along the way.
A few weeks ago, Ricky Gervais from the British TV show The Office created some video clips for the July 15-17, 2006 G-8 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2005, the G-8 promised $50 billion more in effective international assistance per year by 2010.
These clips are a bit late getting to The ONE blog. But not as late as the G-8 is in delivering on that promise.

I always feel like the Brits have an unfair advantage when it comes to sounding funny.
It’s been a while since I last posted on the ONE blog, but I’ve been
waiting to announce an exciting addition to the ONE Team: Virginia, our new
Online Organizing Coordinator. I’m sure you’ve all enjoyed my postings, but Virginia is here to take
the blog to the next level.
Please join me in welcoming Virginia to the ONE community!
