World Water Day: Tackling the Global Water Crisis

Water is critical to our survival: it makes up 80% of our
bodies, covers ¾ of the earth, and is vital to growing food and preventing
disease. Yet one in every five is forced to live without it. More than 1
billion people – 20% of the world’s population – do not have access to even a
simple glass of water. According to the United Nations, 4,500 children die every
day
due to lack of clean, safe drinking water.

Today, on World Water Day, take time to learn more about the
water crisis and how you can help. On
your way to the water fountain, as you step out of the shower, when you prepare
your family’s dinner, take a moment today to think about how your life would
change if you were forced to live without water.
