I hardly need to tell you about it – but there’s been this enormous debate about Invisible Children’s Kony 2012 campaign, which has been viewed by millions around the world. Rightly or wrongly the spotlight is on Uganda.

And as a Ugandan I really want to know what you think.

What issues would you like organisations like ONE to work on that would have a direct impact on your life? And what would you like us to share with our partners regarding their work in Uganda in the future?

Working under the guidance of our Africa Policy Advisory Board, ONE currently focusses on four main areas:

1. Enforcing transparency and fighting corruption in the oil and minerals sector (very important to countries like Uganda as we try to exploit our oil and other natural resources for the benefit of all)
2. Encouraging African and world leaders to keep their promises to fight hunger and promote investment in agriculture, food security and nutrition.
3. Encouraging African and world leaders to keep their promises to fight infectious diseases like AIDS, TB and Malaria.
4. Campaigning for more investment in rural electricity and other clean means to tackle “energy poverty”.

Do you think these are the right ones? Should there be others?

Tell us what you think and then we will put the most informative answers on the ONE Africa blog and use your advice to help guide our campaigns in the future.

We really value your feedback.
