On 15 February ONE hosted a dynamic discussion on the role of transparency and technology in driving economic development. The ONE Africa Symposium 2011 featured several speakers in short, 10-minute presentations about ideas that will help shape ONE’s work.
Together we highlighted innovations that can drive increased transparency and accountability in governments and corporations. It provided a forum for discussion about what these innovations could mean for current and future citizens of Africa, with speakers from a wide range of organisations and countries offering their unique perspectives on some of these burning issues. Throughout the symposium and beyond, we hope to amplify ideas that can inform policy makers and inspire entrepreneurs and activists.
